The systems we install

We install every type of waterproofing to the project engineer’s specification — sheet membrane, liquid, torch-on, epoxy, waterstops and joint sealing. Each technology links to the real objects where we performed it.

Sheet Membrane (PVC / TPO)

Factory-made single-ply sheet, hot-air welded into one continuous membrane

Single-ply thermoplastic sheet — PVC (polymer-modified vinyl, plasticised) or TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin) — manufactured to a controlled thickness, typically 1.2–2.0 mm, usually with a polyester reinforcement scrim or a fleece backing. The sheets are rolled out on site and joined by hot-air welding: the overlap is heated to its melting point and pressed, so the two sheets fuse into a single homogeneous material. The seam is not an adhesive joint — it is a weld, and it can be probe-tested and, where required, air-pressure tested along its length. Because the sheet arrives at full thickness from the factory, the finished membrane does not depend on wet-film build, weather during cure, or coats being applied evenly.

Waterstops & Hydro-Seals

PVC waterstops cast into joints between concrete pours

PVC waterstops (PVC-Waterstop) are extruded profiles of flexible, plasticised PVC — typically orange or blue — that are cast directly into the concrete at the joints between separate pours: wall-to-slab junctions, kicker joints, pour breaks and movement joints. The profile has ribbed anchoring flanges that lock mechanically into the concrete on both sides of the joint, so water tracking along the joint plane meets a continuous physical barrier embedded in the structure itself. Profiles are made in two families: internally placed waterstops set in the middle of the section, and externally placed (rearguard) waterstops fixed to the formwork on the wet face. Movement-joint profiles include a central hollow bulb that lets the joint open, close and shear without tearing the barrier. Because the waterstop becomes part of the concrete, it protects the joint for the design life of the structure — it cannot debond, age off or be washed out the way surface-applied sealing can.

Combiflex

Engineered joint-sealing system for high-movement joints and cracks

The Sikadur-Combiflex® SG system is a high-performance joint-sealing system for construction, expansion and connection joints, and for sealing cracks in concrete structures. It consists of a flexible waterproofing tape of modified flexible polyolefin (FPO), 1.0 or 2.0 mm thick, bonded to the structure on both sides of the joint with a Sikadur® epoxy adhesive. The tape’s advanced-adhesion surface bonds directly to the epoxy without on-site activation, adheres to dry and matt-damp concrete, and remains permanently elastic — so the sealed joint can accommodate significant, repeated movement in multiple directions while staying watertight. The system is chemically resistant and is approved for use in contact with potable water, which makes it suitable for water-retaining structures as well as below-grade construction.
